JOPLIN, MISSOURI - Tornado Recovery Project:

1. Pray. // Pray for the people of the Joplin community that in the midst of such a loss of life and property that they don’t also lose hope. The devastation is indescribable and is obviously overwhelming to those that are in the heart of the affected area.
2. Give. // you can give financially toward our “Joplin tornado relief” effort by clicking here.
We are also collecting the items on the list below. Drop the items off at the church office during the work week or on service days.
• Personal hygiene items & toiletries (toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc) • Ethnic hair and skin products • feminine hygiene products • denture cream • towels • diapers • baby wipes • baby formula • blankets & bedding • shoes/flip-flops • flashlights • batteries • Sterile adhesive bandages • aspirin or non-aspirin pain-reliever • anti-diarrhea medication • antacids • toilet paper • pet food •
Area businesses are encouraged to donate. 100% of what is donated will make it to the area for disbursement.

3. Go. // On June 6-7, Park Crest was ableto take the first trip to the tornado ravaged area. Our team worked at several areas and a couple homes simply cleaning up debris fields.
Thanks to all those that made the trip and sacrificed a day of work or away from friends or family to be a true servent.
We plan to take additional trips and we are working with the MO State fellowship and the authorities in Joplin to provide needed assistance in their coordination of relief.
