COVID-19 Gathering Guidelines May 13, 2020

- Limited gathering locations, numbers, distance, and ministries -

Greene County (https://www.springfieldmo.gov/2853/Health) has issued a phasing program as entities begin/continue to gather in greater numbers. It is the position of Park Crest Baptist Church that we do our best to abide by or exceed any governing rules or regulations as to be good stewards of Christ. While we are taking advantage of the gathering guidelines and planning to meet as local authorities allow, we also want to make sure we take every precaution to keep our attendees safe.

We understand that safety is a personal responsibility, but we also know that communal oversight can aid with helping people remain safe. We are expecting that the following guidelines be observed and respected as you meet on campus and attend gatherings and services at Park Crest Baptist Church.

Guidelines as of May 13, 2020 and following

  • No more than 25 attendees in a gathering/service location

  • Sanitizer and/or disinfectant visibly available to attendees/members

  • Use of personal protective coverings is recommended but not mandatory

  • A distance of 6 feet should be maintained and observed by all attendees or family units.

    • No personal contact with individuals outside of your household

    • No hugs, handshakes, fist bumps, etc…

    • It is the ultimate responsibility of each individual to maintain distance.

  • Location/space of meeting should allow enough space to observe both maximum number of attendees allowed (25) and space of distancing (6 feet) for each individual/family unit.

  • No handouts/material (bulletins, papers, worksheets, etc…) should be given to attendees

  • All possible attendees should be notified if an online option of the event/meeting is available. (This will help people assimilate through phasing)

  • Should any potential attendee/member show any signs of COVID-19 they should not attend any PCBC gatherings/events until cleared by a doctor and/or have gone 14 days symptom free.

    • Symptoms of COVID-19 include: Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath, chills, repeated shaking, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or loss of taste/smell/neurological issue. (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus)

Park Crest Baptist Church will take every effort to provide a safe environment by establishing guidelines through this transition. If you feel you should not follow these guidelines, feel free to seek the online option as it is made available. These guidelines have been put in force for your safety as well as other participants. We will observe guidelines that have been issued from local/state authorities and will put in place other measures to aid in the individual safety of attendees/members. We encourage the individual to practice stay-at-home policies if they feel attending Park Crest services/events are not in their best interest(s).
