June 1, 2020 Update

Hey everyone, I wanted to update you on Beach Week.

This week is an experience like none other. Every year we see life change. From students starting or growing in a relationship with Christ to connecting with other students that bring about a sense of belonging and fellowship that is rooted in the Lord.

However, after careful consideration and so much prayer, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Beach Week 2020.

Because of the powerful impact of this week, we actually began establishing procedures and protocols that would follow city, state, and CDC guidelines. I was determined to make it happen, especially knowing what many of your students have missed out on over the past few months.

But between the many guidelines from the CDC, State of Alabama, and City of Gulf Shores it would greatly hinder the experience students know and love.

Honestly, over the past few months I’ve talked to many of you who were on both sides of the fence. Some said “if you left tomorrow I’d send my kid” and some of you had already determined your student was not going.

While this is not the outcome we were hoping or planning for, we know it is the right decision for this year.

On a positive note, while it may not be the beach, I am currently working on alternative opportunities that would still offer a camp-like experience. The goal is that it would be during the same week originally planned, would be less expensive, and close to home. I’ll be working hard on these details over the next week or so and will keep you updated on those plans as we get closer to this week.

I still believe God is working through all of this and I’m praying He will lead and guide us as we continue to walk through this crazy time of life.

As always, know that I’m here to serve you and your student, so please let me know if there's anything I can do for you.

God Bless,

Further Details

We will refund your Beach Week deposit upon request. Simply email Blake@parkcrestbaptist.org with the name(s) of your student and your address. I will get a check in the mail as soon as possible. You are also able to roll this over into the expense of our local camp-like experience that will be held during the same week. If I do not hear from you I will assume this is what you would like to do.

Any money raised via the Mister Car Wash fundraiser will automatically roll over to the camp-like experience expense for the individual student. If your student does not attend this event the money raised will be dispersed amongst the students who attend.

Any money donated to a specific student will roll over to the camp-like experience expense for the individual student. If the student does not attend we can either return funds to the original donor or disperse funds amongst the students who attend. Please email Blake@parkcrestbaptist.org with your decision.

If you already paid for your order you will be refunded in full. If you signed up for any merch items but had not paid you do not owe for this merchandise. This will not be ordered.d
