PRAYER
START PRAYING TODAY
The first step in sharing the love of Christ with an unbeliever is to start praying for them. We are going to see multiple prayers being prayed for these people, but those prayers have to start today. We cannot waver in praying until we think the moment is right. Start praying for the people
in your life today.
PRAY FOR RECEPTIVENESS
An unbeliever will more than likely be hard of heart to hear the truth of the Gospel. We have to pray that when the conversation comes, they will be receptive to hearing it and respond. Pray that they hear the Gospel and be moved to repentance because of it.
PRAY FOR BOLDNESS
It is very easy for us to talk to people without ever bringing up the Gospel or our faith. This is why we need to be praying for boldness. It is not in our nature to bring up the Gospel, yet it is necessary for the people around us to hear the Gospel. Pray for boldness from the Holy Spirit to speak truth into the lives of those around us.
PRAY FOR THE WORDS TO SPEAK
After we pray for boldness, we must pray for the words to speak. This is so we can know what to say to the people we are sharing the Gospel with. Each situation will be different, as every person is in a different one. Pray for guidance and the words to speak to the person in front of you, to know how to best speak truth into their situation.
PRAY FOR OTHERS IN THE CHURCH
As a church family, we are all going through this process of sharing the Gospel together. Not only should we be praying for our individual situations, but also for the rest of the church members. They all have people in their lives to share the Gospel with, so pray for boldness and the words to speak for each other. Pray that the Holy Spirit would give each of us the words to say and the boldness to say them.
